It's superb.

Thanks for the review -

SueSue Jacksonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14532098225905355332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478500839371377052.post-45446221596937613392010-11-15T16:26:17.778-05:002010-11-15T16:26:17.778-05:00This new cover is so disturbing.

I love it now though so I am anxious to re-read this one.Tihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00926060806244061354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478500839371377052.post-81355729159724282402010-11-15T16:17:23.103-05:002010-11-15T16:17:23.103-05:00I loved this book, and must get around to rereadin...I loved this book, and must get around to rereading at some point. Good review too, I think you summed it up really well.

As for other Atwoods - I liked the Penelopiad and Surfacing.Sam (Tiny Library)https://www.blogger.com/profile/16375434438465319913noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478500839371377052.post-22629332174593583032010-11-15T12:06:35.733-05:002010-11-15T12:06:35.733-05:00The Handmaid's Tale is my favourite Atwood and...The Handmaid's Tale is my favourite Atwood and one of my favourite books ever. The message is so powerful and still current.

I've read Oryx and Crake and really enjoyed it, though it starts slower than Handmaid's Tale. The Penelopliad is good, especially if you're into Greek mythology. The Blind Assassin is also one of her best.Lonihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16248163148722597124noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7478500839371377052.post-79154494956562553272010-11-15T01:03:20.801-05:002010-11-15T01:03:20.801-05:00I haven't yet read anything by Atwood but do w...I haven't yet read anything by Atwood but do want to. I have a couple of her books on my shelf to try--just to decide which to start with! This one sounds especially intriguing. I really enjoyed The Year of the Flood as well. I think the environmental themes as well as the role of corporations are really good comment on where our society is going.Shanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02506630755594111578noreply@blogger.com
