A weekly meme hosted by Sheila @ Book Journey
Books Read Last Week: Nothing :(
Currently Reading: I'm about halfway through The Stone Diaries and it's a bit slow to get through.
Reviews: I still need to review The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and I really shouldn't put it off much longer or I'll forget what I wanted to write!
Work has been dry this past week and the weather has been miserable, so I've been doing some family history research at the library and got on a roll, which has been more appealling to me lately than the book I'm currently on.
Next to Read: Night Shift- Stephen King-- Hurray! I can practically guarantee that I'll like this :)
What are you reading this week?
I hope the Stephen King is good, I find when my expectations are high they are not usually met.

I haven't read a King book in ages. The last one, and I can't even recall the title, gave me nightmares from the visualizations I created for weeks.
ReplyDeleteGosh I thought The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy had been out for a while. You don't hear about it so much anymore, even though it is a classic. I should think you'll enjoy it.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, have a great week! :) Enjoy all your books.
I've had a slow reading week as well. And I also have a book I read a while ago that I need to write about. I didn't like it so I've been putting off writing the review!
ReplyDeleteHitchhiker's Guide and Night Shift are both good reads!
ReplyDeleteThanks for telling me about Easy A - we might just have to rent that!

Family history research is so addictive, isn't it? And can be so time-consuming. But satisfying. Have a great week of reading or whatever!
ReplyDeleteMy reading was slow last week too. Must be the mid-year funk?
ReplyDeleteI've got a Stephen King coming up soon too - Salem's Lot. Can't wait to get around to it!
Bill Bryson has a gift for making complex things interesting and easy to understand. A Short History of Nearly Everything is an amazing book, the best place to start :)
My husband and son read Hitchhiker's Guide together. My son's verdict was good but weird. I'll be interested in your opinion!
ReplyDeleteI have not read Stephen King in years- hope you enjoy it!
