I've had a great start to the New Year, finishing 2 books so far, both counting towards 2011 challenges. For now, I'm finishing off some TBR material & planning to tackle more challenge books.
Books Read This Week (2)
Full Dark, No Stars- Stephen King- 1/6 complete for Stephen King Challenge--review coming soon
This Time Together- Carol Burnett- 1/6 complete for What's in a Name 4 Challenge--review coming soon
Currently Reading (2)
Water For Elephants- Sara Gruen--I'm nearly 3/4 of the way through & am really enjoying it. The characters are memorable, the dialogue is sharp, often witty, and the circus descriptions wax nostalgic of youth and wonder...no, seriously, they do! :D
My Life- Bill Clinton--I've dipped into this recently but am only about 1/3 through it. It's not a boring read (in fact, it's very insightful & interesting) but like any chunkster, it takes up a lot of reading time, so it's best read in phases. I hope to finish it this year but with the challenges I'm taking on, who knows?
Next to Read
Atonement- Ian McEwan--Can't wait to start this next!
Slaughterhouse-Five- Kurt Vonnegut--I've got this planned for 2 challenges & it's only 200-250 pages. A classic that I've always wanted to read (along with the hundreds...*okay, thousands* of others like it I intend to read :)
Reviews Written This Week (2)
The Poisonwood Bible- Barbara Kingsolver
Last Words- George Carlin
Have a great reading week :)
I haven't got the chance to read Atonement. I hope you enjoy it. Will be reading your review when you finish.
