I'm hoping to reread The Handmaid's Tale soon. I enjoyed it in high school but I imagine I can appreciate it a lot more now (hope I don't read it and not like it this time!)
ReplyDeleteOoh, you have a delicious and eclectic stash of reads...I loved the Jonathan Kellerman (When the Bough Breaks -- I even have the DVD); In Her Shoes (book and movie are among my faves).
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great reading week.

ReplyDeleteMy entry. Great blog. Weird title, but great blog nonetheless!!!
I received for review Expiation by Greg Messel from Author Solutions.
ReplyDeleteI want to read The Handmaid's Tale! I bought it last month for a read a long and then did not have the time to read it..... :)
ReplyDeleteWow, we have really similar tastes. The Poisonwood Bible & Handmaid's Tale are in my top ten books of all time.
ReplyDeleteAre you enjoying Bill Clinton's book? For me it took a while to get through but was really enjoyable. I've read a few other political memoirs since and none have been as good.
And I haven't read Dragon Tattoo either. After you read it, I'll definitely be the last person on earth who hasn't! :P
Wow, what an amazing line-up of books you're reading!! I have always wanted to read The Handmaid's Tale - I've never read any Atwood at all - I really need to get to it soon.
ReplyDeleteThe Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was amazing, as were the next two books in the series. After you've read it, check out the Swedish movie based on the book - it's excellent.
And The Poisonwood Bible is one of my top 5, all-time favorite books ever!
I'd like to read Clinton and Obama's memoirs, also.
Enjoy your books this week!
Sue
I've heard such great things about The Handmaid's Tale! I'm excited to read your review!
ReplyDeleteNo, you aren't the only one who hasn't read Girl With a Dragon Tattoo....I picked it up at a book sale a few months ago, and haven't gotten around to reading it yet. I've heard nothing but good things about it though!
You have so many great books to read right now! :) Have a great week! Happy Reading!
I read The Poisonwood Bible a while back and frankly didn't think much of it, but I've been listening to the audiobook and it's quite good.
ReplyDeleteI may have mentioned this already, but I must re-read The Handmaid's Tale. I loved that book and I hope you will too.
Enjoy your week.
I read The Handmaid's Tale for a bookclub last year...great discussion!!
ReplyDeleteYou have a great list of books.
I haven't read The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo, it's been on my tbr pile for quite a while, hopefully early next year LOL
ReplyDeleteHappy reading and have a great week :)
